Introduction

Walter Burley Griffin designed in the Prairie School style. This house was built in 1912. He did the fountain in the Grinnell town square. When they were moving it for the new veterans home it fell apart. There are plans to rebuild it. The house belongs to Grinnell College and lucky visiting professors stay there. Griffin was also the designer of Canberra, Australia. He did a lot of buildings. There are many sites on the internet with photos.
