The title of my blog is taken from a line of dialog that Bruce Campbell speaks in Sam Raimi's Army Of Darkness. If you haven't seen it I would be surprised considering who I am talking to. That's one of my favorite pictures of Bruce above. It's actually a promo pic from the first Evil Dead movie. Below is Bruce introducing the local primitives to his Boomstick.
Army of Darkness is certainly one of my favorite films. It's always in my top 100. I have seen it more than a ten times I figure, which is a lot for me. I rarely have time to get back to the movies I have. There are many new things to watch on DVD...although that seems to be slowing down. I just don't seem to pick up as many as I did a couple of years ago. I did buy a lot of TV shows and now I am making DVD copies of the laser discs and tapes I have. If they stopped making films I could just watch my old ones...but where would all those people work...see the problem.
AOD has one of my favorite actors, Bruce Campbell, playing the lead role of Ash. He's probably never destined to be a big name star but he's got a lot of fans, and I consider myself one. His autobiography If Chins Could Kill Confessions of a "B" Movie Actor is a lot of fun. Look for his new book Make Love the Bruce Campbell Way in June. You can see him at http://www.bruce-campbell.com/
I am going to end my first post here to see what it looks like. More in the future. I don't like the spell checker on this interface.
I've seen "Army of Darkness" but it has been a while. Guess I'll have to go find and watch it again. I had hoped to see Bruce Campbell in "Alien Apocalypse" on the SciFi channel last Saturday but I missed it. Hopefully it will be rebroadcast. I've seen him in a number of films but definitely recall seeing him in the "Jack of all Trades" series. I didn't see all 22 episodes but I saw quite a few of them. Unfortunately I like too many actors, actresses and films.

I missed that Alien Apocalypse movie as well. I rarely look at regular tv and hadn't checked his site in a long tme. It'll be on again and possibly even come out on dvd down the road. I wish they would put Bruce's Brisco County shows out on DVD. In the mean time I can copy them to dvd's and make my own. Who knows how long those cassettes will last.

I have seen Army of Darkness a couple of times although it was on Space or Movie Central Scream and I missed parts each time. I think I rented it once during one of the times my son was staying with me or when I had him over for dinner. Campbell is a funny actor. He was great as Elvis in Bubba Ho-tep. "I've still got my soul."

Bruce Campbell is a great actor. I loved him in the Die Hard series. It's too bad about his breakup with Demi....but then she was getting pretty scary looking with all that body work. I can't remember if I've seen any of the movies you mentioned. Were they in colour?

Not only are they in color, they are coming around to kick your sorry forgetful ass.
You saw Army of Darkness, we rented it and watched it at your house when Joe Wesson was down there several years ago. You liked it then and even Susan liked it. You should call Joe and get him to come visit this fall, he's such a pussy about riding in cars for 10 hours, call him out and make a man of him. I'll even let him stay in your spare room and I can stay over at mom's, she'd like that. Unless you move off to Victoria before August.
