That's the new Friends display at the LEGO Store in the Mall of America. The colors a bit off in the photo of the front. It;s more purple than that. It's got a few sets built behind the plexiglass. There's the house, the veteranarian clinic, the cafe and Stephanie's car. There are a few loose bricks in a recess on the backside so the kids can test drive the parts before they buy them.
I thought it was a nice enough display, colorful, interactive. You certainly see it against the yellow and set filled background. It's all made of printed cardboard and the simple design looks easy enough to assemble. I have a friend who worked for a company that made display advertising like this and they use giant printing presses that can print on 7-8 foot wide paper. Cool, huh. I bet nowadays you could use lasers to cut out the material you don't need in the display but most likely they use a large press to score and cut for easier folding. I'm way out of touch with that business.
