The Werewolves of LEGO

   
  

There are 5 werewolves listed on Bricklink. Four are minifigs and the 5th is that little microfig from a Heroica game. The top left figure is the werewolf from 1380 Werewolf Ambush which was part of the Studio series, the Scary Monsters subset. That set came out in 2002 and it was part of a 4 set series featuring monsters and movie making. The top right figure is Professor Lupin, wearing the same werewolf head, from 4756 Shrieking Shack. It was a 2004 Harry Potter set. That was when they switched the gray to blay, or bluish gray, and it looks rather different. There's still no printing on the head. The Collectible Minifigs Series 4 yields up a pair of monsters, one of which is that werewolf in the light blue pants up on the lower left. I thought he looked pretty good. He's got the elf hair in black. It works really well. The new guy from the Monster Fighters is more sculpted and a bit more ferocious. Look at all those teeth. Quite a nice variety of figures.
