9470 Shelob Attacks

This sets got 227 parts for twenty bucks. Most of them go into making the giant spider. It's not a bad spider but I like the spider from Harry Potter 4247 Battle In The Dark Forest better. At least I like the legs in that set better. There are three minifigs in that 227 parts. The few left over pieces make a bit of rock that launches Gollum at the hobbits. There aren't many accessories. A couple of the one ring, a couple of small swords, a trans jewel, a fish and a larger sword. Most of the parts aren't ones I'm much interested in. Black and reddish brown cheese slopes might come in handy but I have enough, same with the hinges and pointy bits on the legs. The rest of the parts in the spider are common ones I have enough of. I'm not interested in building the spider and I'm not that interested in the figs either. That Gollum looks rather creepy and I can't imagine using it in many builds.

     

So not every exciting for me. Some might like making the spider and playing with that but it's another set that I'm passing on, unless I see it for ten bucks or less. Then I might chomp.
