I saw one of these built at a recent TCLUG meeting and didn't find
myself wanting one, not even when when I had that 30% off at the LEGO store last month. I don't see a lot of use for the minifigs but the light gray parts would be nice. There just aren't enough of them to make me that interested in getting a copy of the set. There are 5 of the light grey masonary bricks and 10 of the light grey 2x2 facet brick. That's a good start. If you actually build the set you wind up with a fair size chuck of wall and a catapult. Then I guess you make your minifigs fight. Don't know why they need that catapult, the Urak-hai
could just go around that bit of wall. The catapult has three 1x4 reddish brown tiles with woodgrain printed on them. They are nice but at 25 cents and up on Bricklink they are too expensive to want hundreds. Maybe I can add them to next years LUGbulk order. There are 6 minifigs and a horse in a $30 set with 257 pieces in it. There are some good parts but
nothing special, other than the minifigs. There are plenty of weapons and armour in the set. It's very much like a deluxe battle pack, get enough of them and you can build an army of Uruk-hai and a castle for them to attack. There's some nice new battle armour and that sword with the spike on the end is kind of neat. The horse is one of the new rearing kind.
The first three are the Uruk-hai warriors, there are 4 total, two copies of the one in the middle. Then we have the Rohan warrior and Eomer. They all look pretty good and they could be worked into some Castle scene, at least a fantasy based theme anyhow. Not too much of interest to me right now. I might be sorry if I never picked on up but I'm betting not.
