More murderous scum slaughterin' in the South Seas with the 3rd season of Black Sails. The struggle for Nassau puts Flint, Hook, Vane, the newly arrived Teach and more, at each other's throats. There's plenty of sword clashin', pistol shootin', back stabbin', canon blastin', swearin' and all around mayhem. The island and the big treasure cache attract all the scum to the pond. There aren't any really likeable characters and the only humor is that found when someone gets stabbed before they could carry out their own murderous plans. I do like me some ironic long pig stickery. I found the story quality about the same as the previous two seasons and the production values are OK. It's a show I'll watch but one I wouldn't bother with again. I read there's a 4th season going on right now. It's the last season, which I'll probably see about this time next year. I'm lucky our local library carries all sorts of TV shows that I would like to see but don't want to buy. I buy a few shows after I borrow them but the number of shows I'm saved from wasting my money on are legion.
