It seems we are regulars at the Rondo Community Library in St. Paul. In order to make sure we get a spot they have booked us for the 3rd sunday each month through October. That should be somewhat easier to remember. Third Sunday, except the months when it's not that weekend. June will be one. The third sunday is Brickworld and the meeting is, I believe a week earlier. We don't meet on mother's day either. Mother's are always welcome but for some reason not many show up, and once they leave, we rarely ever see them again. Huh.
People brought some stuff to look at. Max has posted some pictures on his Flickr page. You might need to be a member but I'm not sure. There's even a picture of the group. Roy brought his crop circle decorated ranch house and fields. I brought a building for Micropolis. Gary brought yummy cupcakes and a book about LEGO. He was in the German LEGOland last week and he picked up the German language book while in the gift store. He also got the Emerald Night train and two small buildings from LEGO sets. He built the small buildings but hadn't even opened the train set yet. That didn't stay a virgin long, and soon some people were fondling the parts bags. Jeremy brought his reworked theater and the facade of his own house. Not his real facade but a brick version. Much smaller. It's for an art project he's creating. Nathan brought the Indiana Jones Jungle Cutter, which he tells us is on sale at Target this week. It's a good set, some fun parts in it. Tom brought the Microplis Sign for the bluff. Max added a school to his church. It's now a whole square block. Alice had been telling Roy that we don't have a school. If she builds one, we'll have two. Max also brought his revamped Power Miners mech. Erik, Dean, Dylan, Emmet, and Shimon brought themselves and whatever I forgot.
We discussed some stuff, like Micropolis, the TwinLUG webpage logo, and the recent sales of used LEGO bricks and sets. Garage Sales are a good place to occasionally find some brick. Not everyone gets so lucky. Some people went home at the end of the meeting and some went to pizza.
