I thought the 4192 Fountain Of Youth wasn't too bad a set, except for the price. It's 20 bucks for 128 pieces. If you accessorize your minifigs that takes up 25 pieces, including the skeleton. There's some nice pieces but it'd be a bit of a stretch for me to get all yahoo-ey on it's ass. There isn't much to the set. Four minifigs and a couple of piles of bricks. Some of the pieces are nice, like the 2x2 round bricks with lines on them, in fact, those are great. I could use a lot of them. There's nine in the set, all light blay but two, which are tan. It would have been nicer to see all of them in one color. Which one do you think will price higher on Bricklink? The trans blue parts are good too, every now and again I get a use for a trans blue flame, now I got two more. I'm of half a mind on the trans blue disc with the white printing. It's abstract enough that you might get some other use out of it. I like the dark green parts, there could be a conceivable use for those down the road, especially the cheese slopes. How did people ever get by with out those? Too bad there isn't a top half to the dark green boulder. The blue wedge plates are less of interest, at least to me, than the dark tan 2x4 bricks. Still three won't get you far. I might need another of these sets.
The set is rife with new parts, besides Captain Jack's new head price, and that plastic shower curtain of a waterfall, we've got Blackbeard's broken sword in light blay with a pearl gold handle, his new captain's hat, and to top that off with his honking huge beard. The old captain's bicorne has a nice new bit of gold printing and there's some silver printing on the top of Blackbeard's hat. nice isn't it. There's one of those round 2x2 tiles with stuff printed on it and two of the printed 1x1 tile Jack's got stuck on his hand.
So mostly a good set, but a bit skimpy, an archway and a fountain with some low life's hangin' out. Like the other sets, this one has a poster and a card. Now if I only had a use for some pirates.
