Riding On Air is a 1937 Joe E Brown movie. Here he's a goofy newspaper reporter in a small Wisconsin town. There's the usual Joe antics and a bit of romance. I just didn't find this one to be as fun as some of his movies. There's a remote control plane and a con man who gets mixed in there. I probably wouldn't bother with it again.
Road To Bali is a 1952 film with Bob Hope and Bing Crosby. They are vaudeville performers who are on the run from a family of a gal who got left at the alter by Bob. They are idiots and they do dumb things. Some of it's funny but some of it's kind of tired and weak.
St Benny The Dip is a 1951 film with Dick Haymes as a pick pocket. He's on the run with a couple of other crooks. They hide out as priests in an old mission. Soon they start to change their crooked ways. It's a fairly entertaining comedy with Roland Young, Nina Foch and Lionel Stander.
Swing It, Sailor is a 1938 film with Wallace Ford as a lazy sailor who takes advantage of his pal. He screws that guy over pretty well but the pal is kind of dim so he doesn't know it. At least there's a riot in a pet store that was kind of fun. That poor petshop owner got screwed over pretty well. Wallace tries to steals his pal's girl on top of everything. Things conspire to deliver Wallace some comeuppance and he's somewhat redeemed when he rescues his pal from the ship that's being bombed. I've seen better comedies. Glad I don't have friends like that.
