Here's another set with another slam at the aliens. Vermin Vaporizer, indeed. The odds aren't very good for the alien guy. Two against one. Man, oh man. The little alien craft looks like little protection. I'm rootin' for ya, buddy. From the set description, lifted from LEGO via Brickset, someone isn't very big on the invading human kidnapping aliens. It's not much of a backstory but you can always make a better story for yourself.

It's a set with 506 pieces and a list price of 60 bucks. The set has 3 minifigs, a battle mech, and three vehicles. Since I'm not a fan of vehicles I'm not looking at that as any kind of a draw. I like the look of the little alien scorpion vehicle. The claws for feet are interesting. Don't need the lime green domes. I got too many Power Miners sets on clearance to ever run out of lime green, especially the little I use it. That should make me want to make something out of of lime green bricks but I'm sure I can think of some excuse to wiggle out of it. The big wheels on the Galaxy Squad VV are the hard plastic kind and I'm not fan of those. I have a whole bag of them in the attic that I hardly ever go visit. You'd think they were that stinky uncle no one likes. The dominate color in the set is white and they aren't the parts that I need. I rarely use the sloped and curved parts I have. White? I want plates and bricks. Much of the white that I had is pretty old and it's yellowed some. I rarely buy sets with white parts and they accumulate slowly. I had been getting a nice stream of white parts from the Grab Bags at the LEGO Store. They only discontinued a couple of monthes ago. That sucked. Luckily I can use the older yellowed parts for parts of the moc you might not see. There are some other small quantities of several other colors, like dark green, pearl gold, tan, dark tan, etc. Some more common parts that are always great to have.
There were 3 parts I hadn't seen before. Two are studs on the side parts and the other is the inverted tile. The 1x2 brick has studs on one side only. Previous versions of that piece had studs on both sides. I have less use for the 2 sided version. It's harder to bury in a 2 wide wall. The piece in the middle is a 2x2 plate with a 1x2 plate on top with studs on the side. I could take a lot of both of those, yes, sir. I would also like a lot of the inverted tiled. That's what Bricklink is for, huh.
The sadly named alien buggoid is my favorite. I might have to get one of these off Bricklink. A nice green space suit on Chuck but I have enough space suits for a good variety in a fairly large build. So far I haven't build any new space scenes. The robot sidekick, sadly lacking a name too, has a nice helmet and bib. Must be a messy eater. Still, I don't feel the urge to get one. That's pretty much how I feel about the whole set. If I was buiding more spaceships and doing space stuff I might be more inclined. It would be a good starter set for that and having several would be better. I just don't build that many spaceships.
