The Seeds Of Death is another of the serials that would work better as a tighter 4 part episode rather than the 6 parter that originally aired January 25 to March 1 1969. It's another invasion story, this time with a future earth being invaded by the Ice Warriors of Mars. The Doctor and Jamie had encountered them in serial 39 The Ice Warriors. Zoe wasn't the companion then so she's meeting a new enemy. The Tardis drops everyone on Earth at the end of the 21st century.
While the Doctor and the gang explore the space museum on earth the Ice Warriors are invading the T-Mat center on the moon. They shut it down and that closes down the teleportation system. People, and goods, are stranded all over the world. Of course they all rely on the one system. They need to get to the moon and there aren't any rockets in producton except for the private attempt by the owner of the museum. The Tardis crew volunteer to man the rocket. That's the model below. Not real great but ok.
On the moon the gang fights back. It's a tough fight and lots of humans and ice warriors get killed during the show. The combined forces beat down the ice warrior invasion and Tardis gang sneak off for the next adventure. There are two discs for this serial, the second has all the extras. There are the usual making of's with cast and crew interviews. I watched them but didn't listen to the commentaries.
