I picked up all 3 sets in the 2nd series the other day. The three sets are all 5 bucks each and have different part counts. This set has the least number of pieces with 34 which makes them almost 15 cents each. Not the greatest value but there is that Hedgehog. If I got one on Bricklink it would cost me a couple of bucks plus shipping.
I like many of the LEGO animals and I try to pickup new ones when they come out. One thing I have learned over the years is you can not count on anything coming out continiously. You know, other than bats, rats, spiders and scorpions. Three of those critters have appeared in over 50 sets, spiders in 86 of them. Only the 29 different styled horses have appeared in more sets. I've been liking the new animals that were created for the Collectible Minifigures theme more than the ones for the Friends theme. The latter are a bit too cute for the most part. I did like the Hedgehog, it's the least cute of the 2nd series. Take a look at the two hedgehogs above. The one on the left is the one from 41020 and the other appears in 3 other Friends sets. The hair is darker and the there are eyelashes. At least it creates some variety in the same animal. Parts wise the few parts are ok as they are. The dark red leaves are nice but two aren't going to go far. The pitchfork (being called a rake in the description above) and the apple are nice but there isn't much to exciting with the rest of the parts. I might want a second one but it's not high on the list to pick up.

One of the worst of the lot. That poodle is way to cute. I can't see buying any more of this one. It's got the best piece count. The 46 parts average just about 11 cents each. There are a couple of the silverish 1x1 round plates, a hairbrush, a bone, 4 pink cheese slopes and a few other usable bits. Again nothing to exciting.

The bunny is pretty cute, almost two cute, but I got one anyway. I don't know that I would want another. I'd rather save that money for some of the new Castle sets. This set has 37 parts and that makes them about 14 cents each. The value is dependant on what you build. There's a carrot and 6 of the brick bricks in medium nougat. Always good to have more of those. The two medium nougat tiles with hinges on them might come in handy. I like that color and hope to have enough to build something nice some day. I'll sort the rest of the parts into my stock and put all the packaging up in the attic.
I did look at the alternate instructions that are on the LEGO site but they aren't that exciting. Best to part these sets out and make something you thought of.
