The
3rd and sadly final series of Kingdom first aired June 7 2009 and ran for 6 episodes. Stephen Fry is Peter Kingdom and in the first episode he's buried his brother Simon. His Aunt Auriel asks if they're sure it's him. Peter is sure and then it's back to work. His first case is trying to help a soldier get more compensation for his war wounds. Lyle, the trainee solicitor in last series, is now accredited and he's working on a sexual discrimination case. A woman wants to join the Blues and Royals but they won't let her. There are deeper underlying problems with both clients. Both lawyers rise to the occasion. A farmer has trouble with crop circles and Lyle meets a nice young woman. Peter invites the people from Aunt Auriel's retirement home to stay at his home/office while they sort out the problems with the sprinklers. It's bees. Beatrice sets up as sex phone line lady to make some cash. Lyle helps some druids get their lines layed. There's an episode that

comments on the CCTV cameras that are cropping up around England. Lyle helps his mom with his twin brothers. They're always in trouble with the law for their eco-terroism. Peter has some health problems but he'll be ok. Then he finds ou that his father isn't his father. Oh bother, no more stories. All the episodes were pretty much done by the same people as the previous 2 series and they're still highly entertaining. Sadly the tighter budgets at ITV and the slight drop in average viewers meant the high cost show got the axe. I enjoyed all 3 of the series and would watch them again sometime.
