I'm still watching the Midsomer Murder series though I did take a break for a bit. There's been a plethora of things to watch, flooding in from all over. It's like I'm faced with pie, cake, cookies and ice cream, piled heaping on the table in front of me. Which to nom nom nom next? The tenth series started airing in November 2006 and didn't end for a year and a half. They are movie length episodes that air at random times. John Nettles is still DCI Tom Barnaby and Jason Hughes plays his partner Sgt Ben Jones. Jane Wymark plays Tom's wife Joyce and Laura Howard plays their daughter Cully.

There's a dead guy in a nice old car and his girlfriend has disappeared. It looks like suicide but Tom doesn't think so.
The Animal Within January 19 2007
A lady from the US comes to visit her long lost uncle only to be told that everyone thought she was dead. The uncle isn't home when she arrives because he's dead too. Really dead, all stinky and cut up.

Plans to shutter the Midsomer Magna King's Crystal factory have outraged the workers and then the company's accountant turns up dead. Who done that? Tom will find out.
The Axeman Cometh February 2 2007

Death and Dust May 8 2007
When a politician is killed Tom wonders what the motive could be, the man was popular. Tom and Ben make a trip to Wales during the episode. It's nice around Midsomer, I always enjoy the scenery, and it's pretty darn nice in Wales.
Picture of Innocence June 3 2007
Film and digital photographers are at odds in the local camera competition. Soon one guy is dead, strangled with his light meter. Someone tries to frame Tom for the murders and he's taken off the case. Don't worry, he'll be ok.
They Seek Him Here April 27 2008
The director of a version of The Scarlet Pimpernel is murdered in Midsomer Magna. He had his head chopped by the prop guillotine. Lots of suspects, most of them annoying show folk, for Tom and Ben to sift through.
Death in a Chocolate Box May 11 2008
An ex-cop is murdered. He had some scandal in his past. Did that come back to do him in? Tom will find out and put that baddie in the pokey.
All in all a nice bunch of mysteries. I still find the series well written and well produced. I like this more light hearted series, over say A Touch Of Frost, and have the rest of the series in my library queue. It, like my NetFlix queue, is a fluid thing with programs and movies fighting for top spot based on my current whim. Dance, dvd puppets, dance for me.
