I'm still getting the Midsomer Murders series from the library. They have a ton of great British tv and some real crap too. The 11th series of MM started airing in July of 2008 and went on through May of 2009. There were 7 episodes, each about 100 minutes in length. The stories are contained in each episode but there's the occasional bit of Barnaby family business that continues from episode to episode. John Nettles is DCI Tom Barnaby, Jason Hughes is Sgt Benjamin Jones, Jane Wymark is Tom's wife Joyce and Laura Howard is Tom's daughter Cully.
Blood Wedding July 6 2008
Cully's getting married and the Barnaby family has that going on. Tom's old partner Gavin Troy make a guest appearance. The maid of honor from the Fitzroy wedding party turns up dead in her room. The honeymoon is cancelled and the cops are under foot. There are family secrets for our coppers to dig out and some nasty people to deal with.
Shot at Dawn January 1 2008
A feud leads to murder and Tom and Ben have to spend a lot of time with some crappy people. Sure seems a lot of them in the Midsomer area. That and all the murders sure make me less interested in visiting. There's a brief bit of nudity that I wasn't expecting.
Left for Dead July 20 2008
A reclusive couple are found dead and that's followed by a builder being murdered.
Midsomer Life July 13 2008
A dead man in the woods leads to Midsomer Life magazine and a second body leads to a feud at the Morecroft Hotel.
The Magician's Nephew July 27 2008
A magician dies during his preformance at a kid's show and he was poisoned with a rare toxin extracted from Ecuadorean poison frogs. Cool, huh.
Days of Misrule December 24 2008
Tom and Ben have to take part in a team building excercise that the new acting Chief set up. There's an explosion in a truck and the dead guy was into some shady business deals.
Talking to the Dead May 5 2009
A couple vanish when the visit the village of Monks Barton.
Another good batch of programs. There's the usual pretty countryside and stately homes to wonder around in, just don't trip over all the corpses.
