Disc 6 of B-Movie Blast has another 4 movies, all Crown International films, that all have women in the lead roles. All are comedies, three are low throttle crime films, the other science fiction.
Lena's Holiday is a 1991 written by Deborah Tilton and director Michael Keusch. I didn't recognize Keusch's name but I see on the IMDb that he directed 57 items. I didn't recognize many of the titles and I haven't seen those that I did recognize. Most of them were German TV movies which is kind of odd since he was born in Calgary Alberta Canada. Felicity Waterman plays Lena, who arrives in Los Angeles form East Germany. Swapped luggage puts her into the middle of a smuggling operation. Felicity is cute, but there isn't much original in the smuggling plot line. There's small parts for Bill Dana, Pat Morita, Liz Torres, Michael Sarrazin, Nick Mancuso and Chris Lemmon. It's not much more than average but I got a few laughs. You can see it if you want to by clicking the link in the title. Maybe you'll get a laugh.
Las Vegas Lady is a 1975 heist film with Stella Stevens and Stuart Whitman. It's written by Walter Dallenbach and directed by Noel Nosseck. Both of them are mostly tv guys, Dallenbach wrote for Adam-12, The Rockford Files, TJ Hooker and The Fall Guy, amongst others. Nosseck directed over 30 TV movies, the only one of which I ever saw was the 1996 Tornado with Bruce Campbell. That was a better film than the big theatrical summer thriller with Bill Paxton. Stella rounds up a girl gang to steal half a million bucks from the Circus Circus Casino. They have all sorts of problems with their lives and the plan. It's not very interesting or exciting for the most part. It was on and I kept forgetting to pay attention. Probably better that there isn't a copy on YouTube.
Superchick is a 1973 comedy written by Gary Cruther and John H Burrows and directed by Ed Forsyth. Ed also directed Chesty Anderson US Navy which I can only assume isn't as good as this film. Not that Superchick is great or anything, it's the adventures of a flight attendant who has a different boyfriend in each of her stops. In between all the canoodling she gets involved with some crooks whom one of her boyfriends is in debt to. She isn't called Superchick for nothing and she sets things right. It was pretty silly and dumb but I got a laugh or two.
Galaxina is a 1980 science fiction comedy written and directed by William Sachs. Dorothy Stratten plays the android Galaxina who's a servant on a ship filled with Intergalactic Space Police. Avery Schreiber is the Captain and he's got a bunch of boobs working for him. They encounter a bird shaped space ship and the adventure begins. There's plenty of running around and silliness, sadly the jokes are stale and the slapstick only fair to middling. I got a laugh but there are better SF comedies out there. You can see it in the link in the title so you can see if you like it without wasting anything but time.
