Staggered is a goofy comedy with Martin Clunes. You might know him as Doc Martin or one of those annoying guys in Men Behaving Badly. I like Doc Martin quite a bit and I like Martin in the few other things I've seen. On the British panel shows I watch he's often very entertaining. He started in 1983 playing an alien in Doctor Who. That was back when Peter Davison was living in the Tardis. Martin isn't in many movies, this is only his second, and he doesn't direct much. This was his first directing job. He'd direct a TV movie in 1999 and then stick to acting. The movie was written by Paul Alexander and Simon Braithwaite. The only other thing by Paul I have seen is the 5 episodes of Red Dwarf and the Can't Smeg Won't Smeg TV special. Simon seems to have been Paul's writing partner for a lot of TV.
In Staggered Martin plays a 28 year old toy demonstrator at a toy store. He's about to marry a woman and his pal from work has a stag night for him. Martin's drugged and a helicopter whisks him away to a nearly deserted island in Scotland. He wakes up in the buff and he spends the rest of the movie trying to get back to London to get married on Saturday. His pal from work has other plans and he gets Martin arrested for theft. A thousand Sonic the Hedgehog toys are found in Martin's apartment. It's just one of the hurdles that he has to go through.
I laughed and had a good time rooting for Martin. The movie is gets a solid 5.9 on the IMDb and you can see it on YouTube for free. I'd watch it again sometime.
