The 11th series of Top Gear arrived on people's TVs on June 22 2009 and Jeremy Clarkson had just turned 49. He's looking a bit more trim than he was at the end of Top Gear and he's got more hair. There were only 6 episodes this series.
Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond are up to their usual bits of fun. James has much longer hair than he often does.
There's the usual car testing and some traveling about. This series has the trio in the French Alps, Japan, Belgium, Wales and places around England. In the Alps Richard races a couple of skiers down a mountain in an Audi RS6. Jeremy races the Japanese Bullet Train in a Nissan GT-R.
The guys try making police cars out of used cars but I don't think the police would want those cars. They do race the cars around the track and smash into each other a bit. The trio buys some old Alfa Romeo's and have some challenges. The cars have a lot of issues. I wouldn't want one.
The Star In The Reasonably Priced Car has two guests per show this series, except for the last episode. Guests include Alan Carr, Justin Lee Collins, Rupert Penry-Jones, Peter Firth, James Corden, Rob Brydon, Fiona Bruce, Kate Silverton, Peter Jones, Theo Paphitis, and Jay Kay. It's one of my favorite bits of the show.
Another nice batch of programs. Only 10 more series to go.
