Here's another batch of horror movies from the 20 movie set 20 Horror Movies. I don't think they could afford to think up a clever title since the set was only $3.74 at Walmart. There's not much budget in that for packaging.
Hurt is a 2009 murderous teen movie. A broke widow, and her 2 teens, move into her brother-in-law's salvage yard. The Uncle has something going for Mom. A strange teen no one had ever heard of arrives saying the dead dad promised to take her in. It's all horrible family drama with some killing. I sure didn't care for it.
The Cellar Door is a 2007 serial killer/torture movie. Some creep kidnaps women and keeps them in a box in the basement. He kills and kills before one of the women escapes, beats him up, and locks him in his box. There's nothing good about this. I speed through this one.
Bay Coven is a 1987 TV movie about a witch coven living on an island. Tim Matheson and Pamela Sue Martin are a young couple that are encouraged to buy a house on the island. Woody Harrelson is their pal, he's killed pretty quickly. Jeff Conaway and Susan Ruttan are the people that encourage them to move. Barbara is their housekeeper. James Sikking and Inga Swenson are the head of the coven. Tim finds out he's got secret and Pamela finds out she's on the short list for a long life. What a predicament. Still, in all, it's pretty standard stuff, and tame for TV. Not something I'd ever want to see again. I read there's a TV show that happened.
Midnight's Child is a murderous nanny TV movie from 1992. It's got Olivia d'Abo and Jim Norton in it. There's a Satanic bit of business that nearly kills off Olivia and her family. I didn't think that it was very interesting. I got bored and started fast forwarding.
The Cry is a 2007 movie with a supernatural horror thing going. It's inspired by the La Llarona legend from Mexico, but sadly it comes up short in the script department. It gets a 2.5 on the IMDb, hardly anyone is crazy about it, and I don't blame them.
