Back to another season of Trailer Park Boys. The 4th season started airing in April 2004 and there were 8 episodes. They were all directed by series creator and writer Mike Clattenburg. Lead actors John Paul Tremblay, Robb Wells and Mike Smith co-wrote all the scripts with Mike. That's them with one of Bubble's cats.
Julian, Randy and Mr Lahey get out of jail at the start of the season. Ricky has set up a grow op in Julian's trailer and he needs to get it out of there before Julian finds out. Bubbles gets the task of keeping Julian from finding out. Of course it fails to work and Julian returns to his trailer to find it completely empty. Well, other than the layer of aluminum foil that covers every surface. He leaves it like that.
Things are pretty poor in the Sunnyvale Trailer Park, Ricky is the new manager and Bubbles is his assistant. Ricky has let things slide in every way. He's also worked a lot of illegal revenue streams, like stealing satellite service and selling it on to the residents, credit card fraud, that grow operation and some fields of pot. Mr Lahey and Randy are reduced to living in an old car in an empty lot. Mr Lahey wants his old job back but the owner of the park, his ex-wife, wants Ricky to have the job. She's got money issues and wants to sell the park. Julian hits on the idea of buying the park but there's little hope of that with the kind of luck that the guys have. They attempt a series of money making schemes with limited success.
The series ends with a crash in downtown Dartmouth and a gun wielding stand off between Ricky and Mr Lahey. If it had been a US town they probably would have died of a hail of police bullets but it's Canada and they just get arrested. It was as funny a series as I've seen. Every episode has a lot of jokes and funny stuff happening. The Sasquatch sequence had me gasping for air and Conky holds a special place in the cold deep waters of my heart. It's fun to spend time with the Trailer Park Boys and, as always, it's nice I don't know them personally. I knew a few people like that back in the 80s. That was enough of that shit.
