The last disc in the 20 Horror Movies DVD set has 5 more films. Only one of the films was decent. A pretty poor average, for the disc and for the set, glad it was cheap. It reminds me to only buy this stuff used. I only paid $3.74, plus tax, but I could have bought two used clearance items at Half Price Books.
Live! From Death Row is a 1991 TV movie with Joanna Cassidy and Bruce Davison. She's a reporter who goes into a prison to conduct an interview with a Death Row inmate, the night he's to be bug zapped. Bruce is the convict who's going to get the big blast. He gets hold of a gun and takes over the execution. The rest of the movie is putting a stop to that. It's all pretty awful and I started to speed it up. Soon I was going twice the speed limit. Having the cast talk like chipmunks really helped with getting to the end.
No One Could Protect Her is about a woman who gets raped and then harassed by the same man. It's another awful movie. Why would anyone want to see a movie like this? Another one I speed up to get to the end.
Ominous is a TV ghost movie, supposedly based on a real incident. A family rents a cabin where a murder happened. The ghosts drive the mother to their undiscovered graves. It's better than the first two on the disc but I was speeding it up when it got boring. That was a lot of the time. Not a movie I'd want to bother with again.
Winter Of Frozen Dreams is movie that's based on a real murder case. Thora Birch is a prostitute who kills her boyfriend. She goes to jail. It takes too long to lock her up.
Nightmare At Bittercreek is best of the lot. It's a movie about some people who go on a horse ride in the mountains only to encounter some Neo-Nazis in camo clothes who are up to no good. They don't want any witnesses so they start to hunt the tourists. The tourists fight back and kill all the scum. Even the dog survives. Not bad for a TV movie but not above average. I gave it a 5 because they didn't kill the dog but did kill all the Nazis. That seems like a good lesson learned.
