Finally getting back to Top Gear. The 7th Series had 6 episodes and they aired November and December of 2005. There was a Winter Olympics Special that followed in February 2006. Jeremy Clarkson continues to get younger, his hair is especially curly and full. He's joined by his usual co-hosts Richard Hammond and James May.
The usual car drivin' is going on and there's the usual bit of traveling in supercars, Lisbon, France, The Isle Of Man and Italy. The guys build life size RC Cars and race them on a track. They race a Bugatti against a small plane. The race a Renault Clio against a cyclist. They race video game cars around some tracks and then go to the tracks with real cars to see how they fare. There's some Awards during the last episode.
The guys travel to Lillehammer Norway to have a car filled Winter Olympics. They have a biathlon where they drive in the snow then shoot guns. There's a cold weather endurance where Richard sits in a Citroen C1 while the temperature is dropped to -40 Celsius. The car wouldn't start but Richard could leave the car. That car wouldn't be much good for this area or our northern neighbors. There's a race between a Jaguar XK and a skater. An off road slalom on a frozen lake with the Jaguar and a Land Rover. Bobsleigh has a race with Hammond on a bobsleigh and May in a rally car. There's ice hockey with cars and a ski jump. In the ski jump they try to beat a real skier. No one was in the car. It was goofy fun.
The stars in the reasonably priced car this segment are Trevor Eve, Ian Wright, Stephen Ladyman, Dame Ellen MacArthur, Nigel Mansell, David Walliams and Jimmy Carr.
Still enjoying the show. Plan to continue.
