I found a copy of Reel Horror at HPB for $1.71 after the tax, and you know, I got ripped off good for that one. The only value is in complaining what poor value the movie is. Reel Horror is a 1985 horror comedy that was produced and directed by Ross Hagen, Jeanne Lucas provided the script. There's not much to the script, much of the movie is made up of clips from The Butchers 1970, Up Your Teddy Bear 1970, Daddy's Deadly Darling 1972, Cycle Psycho 1973, Bad Charleston Charlie 1973, Nicole 1978, and Night Creature 1978. The name actors in those clips are listed as being in the movie on the DVD. None of the actors in the newly filmed connecting bits are listed on the box. The new story is about some actors in a theater and some possessed film cans.
Those bits are often poorly filmed and the actors incapable of saying their lines well. It's utterly senseless and totally useless as a film. How it scores a 1.7 on the IMDb I just can't understand. Can you imagine 16 people, out of 134, gave it a 10, thankfully 79 voted sensibly and gave it a one. I gave it a one but I would rather have given Ross Hagen a bit of the exhumed skull of Paul Naschi. Right in the nut sack, humorous. I can't recommend the movie for anything other creating the picturesque view of the DVD taking a graceful spiral down into the river.
