I got a copy of Sharknado 4: The 4th Awakens form the library. Like the previous film in the series, it's a rash of sharknado action scenes and low-level celeb cameos. Anthony C. Ferrante is the director of this movie and all the previous films. Thunder Levin is the writer of the whole series. The movie is produced by The Asylum for a grand total of 3 million bucks. This time they start with a sandstorm tornado develops in the desert, it crashes into the newly built shark themed hotel. The hotel put the giant shark tank half way up the tall building. Soon there's a sharknado with sand, water, and endless sharks. The sharknado destroys the Hoover Dam and becomes a bouldernado which, after encountering an oil field, becomes an oilnado, and then a firenado. Two other sharknados develop, one filled with lava and the other filled with hail. Soon there's a cownado and then a nukenado. The nado fighters lead the nado's to Niagara Falls for a last stand. The casualties are heavy, especially among those just in for a cameo. Sadly, it isn't any much better than that which went before. The jokes are pretty poor and the film references are so liberal that the actors can't go a few feet without tripping over one. It's the laziest of screen writing. Not something unexpected from The Asylum, where getting out a cheap movie quickly is the goal. I prefer the film makers that just make a good movie. I'm funny that way. Of course, I wouldn't be watching this again, nor buying a copy.
