I found the first series of Murphy's Law on clearance for three bucks. The first disc was kind of poor, scuffed, so I tried it out right away. It mostly worked and I enjoyed the pilot episode even with the stops and starts of the bad DVD. I returned that set and ordered the complete series set from Amazon. It's the UK set but that's not a prob here. It came the other day and I watched the first series. The 2001 pilot and the four episodes of the 2003 first series are all 91 minute episodes, each with it's own story. James Nesbitt plays Murphy, he's a cop who often works undercover. He's Irish and even though he's got a horrendous backstory, the show has a fairly good sense of humor. I'm less keen on dire programs that lack a sense of humor. I'll get to the other series in a bit.
