Just enjoyed the Blu-ray to Lifeforce. It's a 1985 Tobe Hooper film that's based on the Colin Wilson book The Space Vampires. Dan O'Bannon and Don Jakoby wrote the script and Tobe directs. It might be the best thing that Golan Globus ever produced.
Spacemen bring space vampires back to Earth and all sorts of shit happens. The Earth his nearly doomed but Steve Railsback and Peter Firth save the day. It's a movie with a good story and plenty of cash to make it look good.I've seen it several times and I've enjoyed every viewing.
The Blu-ray has a commentary with Tobe Hooper and some guy called Tim that I didn't like as much as I hoped I would. Sadly, Tobe isn't much of a talker and Tim has to spend a lot of time babbling. Tim said some stupid shit. As a film historian he seems very amateurish. Too bad. There's another commentary with the makeup person that I haven't listened too. I did watch the short interviews that were on there and they were more interesting.
