Black Orchid is a 1953 British mystery with Ronald Howard. It's got a screenplay by Francis Edge and John Temple-Smith, there's additional dialog from Maurice Temple-Smith, the director is Charles Saunders. Robert s Baker and Monty Berman are the producers. Ronald is married to a society woman who's pretty much a creep. Ronald is in love with her sister. The wife grants a divorce but after it's learned that the husband can't marry a wife's sister while she's still alive. The ex-wife dies in a road accident soon after. Was the drug Ronald gave her more than what he said it was? Did Ronald kill her? The police want to know but it's the sister and Ronald's best pal that do much of the work in finding the real killer.
