Naked Fury 1959 Insanely called The Pleasure Lovers in the US. There's a title that tries to trick you into the theater on the hope of seeing a much sexier film than you're going to get. It's sad really when the story itself is compelling enough. One particularly dense guy complained on the IMDb that "...nobody is naked or particularly furious..." as if there was only one explanation for naked. There are some furious characters in the film, people die because of their anger, so I'm not sure what he saw. The original story was by Guido Coen, the screenplay by Brock Williams, the director is Charles Saunders. The only actor that I recognized in the lot was Kenneth Cope.
It's a robbery gone wrong film, a gang of crooks rob a payroll, one of them shoots the night guard, as they leave they kidnap the guard's daughter to have a hostage. The crooks all have a bit of a backstory and that drives them to do some stupid stuff. I enjoyed their crumble to doom. Good story, well told, nice soundtrack, pleasure to watch.
Cover Girl Killer 1960 I saw this back in 2015 and still feel the same way about it, I enjoyed it all over again.
A fairly decent 2 film collection, like the first volume the video quality isn't up to modern standards but the films are watchable and the sound is mostly fine.
