The Strangler Of Blackmoor Castle 1963 Based on the novel by Bryan Edgar Wallace, screenplay by Ladislas Fodor and Gustav Kamperdonk, directed by Harold Reinl. A CCC Film production that I have on an Alpha Video DVD. You can see it on YouTube, check out the link above.
That's the Alpha Video DVD cover and the German poster.
That's the villain with Karin Dor, she's a reporter, he's a nasty strangler who's missing his little finger. The rich guy who's rented Blackmoor Castle has some diamonds he plans to sell to replace some cash he used from his daughter's trust fund. He'd stole the diamonds and murdered a man. The strangler wants revenge, the murdered man was his father. He spends the movie sticking his nose into the rich guy's attempts to move some diamonds. The strangler likes to choke people but he's not above a random decapitation. Anything to put the frighteners on the rich guy so he'll cough up the diamonds. Not much of it goes to plan because of the additional interference from Karin and an Inspector from Scotland Yard. There's plenty of story, lots of characters to keep track of and a nasty villain. I was entertained and hope to watch it again someday.
