The Count Of Monte Cristo 1956 A British TV show that was adapted from the Alexandre Dumas book. It was created by Sidney Marshall. There's a Network 5 DVD set 2010 that's still available on Amazon UK. I found the show on YouTube and watched it there. After I thought I wouldn't need the DVDs.
George Dolenz, father of Mickey Dolenz, plays the Count of Monte Cristo. The other two guys are Nick Cravat on the left and Robert Cawdon on the right. The trio help the downtrodden and fight injustice with brains, fists and swords.
They did 39 episodes and that was it. The stories are rather typical for the time and show. You'd see the same plots in other popular TV series of the time, like The Adventures Of Robin Hood with Richard Greene, The Adventures Of Sir Lancelot, The Adventures Of William Tell, Ivanhoe and The Buccaneers.
Overall I thought it was entertaining but not quite as good at The Adventures Of Robin Hood. That show is my favorite of that lot.
