The Doctor and Donna help get rid of the poison fog and the rich guy nearly redeems himself by blowing up the Sontarans. Before Martha can get out of the Tardis it takes off for another planet.
A good two parter with some of the best Sontarans of the whole series.
The Doctor's Daughter May 10 2008. Written by Stephen Greenhorn and directed by Alice Troughton.
The Doctor, Donna and Martha wind up on the planet Messaline. The two races on the planet are humans and Hath, they're at war and have been for a while. The human's capture the Doctor and Donna. Martha gets separated and knocked out. The Hath find her and she bonds with one of them.
The Doctor is processed and a clone made from his bio material. Clones are created as full grown adults with programmed military ability. They die in battle pretty quickly and more clones are constantly being made.
Donna figures out what is going on before the Doctor. The Doctor releases some terraforming goo and tells the two races they need to get along. Martha gets returned to Earth.
An OK episode.
The Unicorn And The Wasp May 17 2008 Written by Gareth Roberts and directed by Graeme Harper.
The Doctor and Donna arrive in 1926 England and meet Agatha Christie the day before her famous disappearance. There's a murder and Agatha joins the Doctor and Donna in the investigation. The guests are attacked by a giant wasp and it turns out to be an alien shapeshifter that's hiding in a human body.
The Doctor and Agatha figure out who the killer is but Agatha is knocked out. The Doctor drops her off at the hotel she checked into when she disappeared.
I liked the Agatha Christie connection especially since I'm reading some of her books currently. I'd also seen a recent three part documentary on her and the time she disappeared was fairly heavily covered.
