I watched the longer version of the 51st series of Have I Got News For You. The 9 episode series started airing last April but I didn't notice until the other day that it had finished. Things to do, things to do.

The show is one of those British panel shows that I like so much. This one delivers a good sarcastic look at some of the current news. The Brexit vote gets a good mention and they slag Donald Trump once in a while. Some of the jokes are local things I didn't get but I have the internet so I can look it up.

The show has a different host each episode. Some of them are on my list of favorite comedians, actors and TV presenters. Here's the run down in order of appearance: Stephen Mangan. Tracey Ullman, Victoria Coren Mitchell, Jo Brand, David Tennant, Frankie Boyle, Gary Lineker, Katherine Ryan and Martin Clunes. The pictures above are all in the order of appearance in the series. They all do a great job and there are plenty of jokes. I laughed out loud many times, even on the second viewing. I watched the short ones first and the longer ones a week later. The short versions run just short of a half hour and the longer ones about 42 minutes.

Paul Merton and Ian Hislop head the two teams and each has a guest to help out. Some of the guests are comedians, some are TV personalities and some are politicians. It's a nice mix. That's Jess Phillips, a Labor MP, and Paul Merton up on the left. Ian Hislop and guest Ross Noble are on the right. Check it out if you think you might like it. You might get a laugh and learn a bit about UK politics. It sucks over there too. I found it interesting to see what they think of the US and some of the things going on here.
